Simple Baking Powder Biscuits
Soft, buttery and delicious, these baking powder biscuits are fool-proof. You can make it your own with herbs, spices and cheese to mix things up a little.

- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 55 g butter (cold, cubed)
- 1 cup milk (cold)
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Crumble the cold butter into the flour (the food processor works best to do this).
Mix in milk.
Place on a lightly floured surface.
Flatten the dough to ½ inch thickness.
Fold the dough into the thirds (fold the left side onto the center and the right side over the left).
Flatten the dough again to ½ inch thickness.
Cut out 3-inch biscuits.
Place on a parchment lined tray with the bottom (smoother) side up.
Brush the tops with butter or milk.
Bake for 15 minutes.
