Ginger Tea

This simple ginger tea is made by finely grating fresh ginger root and brewing for a few minutes. The resulting tea is strong, warming and so very soothing!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ginger (finely grated)
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Add a small pot to the stove on medium heat.
  • Add water and bring to a boil.
  • Wash, peel and finely grate enough ginger to fill 1 tablespoon.
  • Add grated ginger to boiling water.
  • Brew for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Leave to steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain to remove the grated ginger.
  • Stir in honey.
  • Serve warm.
