Lemongrass ginger tea

Ingredients

  • 10 g fresh lemongrass
  • tsp fresh ginger
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Place a saucepan on medium heat.
  • Add water and bring to a boil.
  • Wash the lemongrass. Cut into 1- to 2-inch pieces.
  • Wash and peel the ginger. Zest or finely grate the ginger.
  • Add the lemongrass and ginger to the boiling water.
  • Boil for 10 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Steep for another 10 minutes.
  • Strain, sweeten if desired.
  • Serve warm.
