Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp ginger (12 grams)
  • 1 tbsp lemon (1/2 lemon or 12mL)
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 3 cups water

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and finely chop the fresh ginger root.
  • Wash, slice and squeeze the lemon. Strain the juice.
  • Place a small saucepan on low to medium heat.
  • Add the water and ginger.
  • Leave to boil for 10 to 15 minutes (it should be at a rolling boil).
  • Remove from the heat. Leave to steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and honey.
  • Serve warm.
