Ingredients

  • 8 grams fresh turmeric, peeled
  • 4 cups water
  • honey to taste
  • pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  • Wash, peel and grate the fresh turmeric rhizome.
  • Place a small saucepan on medium heat. Add water.
  • Leave for 10 minutes to come to a boil.
  • Add the grated turmeric to the boiling water.
  • Brew for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Leave to steep for 5 minutes.
  • Strain, sweeten and serve warm or cold.
