Ingredients for ginger lime shots
Equipment for this recipe
This is a small volume recipe so you can use a mini blender or a smoothie blender if you like. If you are scaling up the recipe though, a regular sized blender would be a better option.
To make this recipe, I also used a zester to grate the skin of the lime.
Steps for making ginger lime shots
Prep ingredients
I washed and zested the lime before cutting in half and squeezing to get as much juice out as possible. One lime gave me about a tablespoon of juice.
Next, I washed, peeled and grated the ginger. You don’t have to peel or grate the ginger if you like but I prefer doing it to speed up the blending process. Plus, the zester was already used anyway, so why not?

Blend everything
To your mini blender or smoothie cup, add the lime juice, lime zest, ginger, honey and water. Blend everything until you have a wonderfully smooth ginger shot.
Taste test. If the shot is too spicy for you, balance it out with a teaspoon more of honey.
Pour into tall shot glasses and serve immediately. Or chill in the fridge until you are ready to enjoy them! You can also freeze in ice cube molds too!
