Yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies (Box Recipe!)
Take your brownie game up a notch with these peanut butter brownies! They are fudgy, chewy and perfect!

Equipment
You only need a whisk and an 8×8-inch baking dish for this recipe. But, you can swap the whisk for your cake mixer to bring the batter together.
How to make these peanut butter brownies
Prep
Preheat the oven at 320°F.
Pour the brownie mix from the box into a mixing bowl. Add the egg, oil and water.

Whisk together until the batter becomes smooth and silky. You don’t want any lumps of dry brownie mix!

Line the 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and pour the batter into it. Give the dish a couple taps to ensure the batter spreads smoothly and there are no air bubbles.
Add the peanut butter to a small bowl and pop in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds so it becomes soft and slightly runny. Spoon the peanut butter all over the brownie batter and use a toothpick to make swirls. Enjoy making brownie art and have fun with it!

Bake
Pop the baking tray in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center. It should come out clean and batter free!
Set aside to cool before cutting into 12 beautiful peanut butter brownies!
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on the side. Or chilled! The brownies can last for 3 to 4 days in the fridge and months in the freezer.

Peanut butter brownies (from box)
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (neutral like canola, grapeseed)
- 2 tbsp water
- ¼ cup peanut butter
Equipment
- 8"x8" baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 320°F.
- Empty brownie mix into a mixing bowl.
- Add eggs, oil and water to brownie mix.
- Whisk together until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Pour into a parchment-lined 8"x8" baking dish.
- Add the peanut butter to a small bowl. Microwave for 15 – 20 seconds to become runny and spreadable.
- Spoon the peanut butter all over the brownie batter.
- Use a toothpick to make swirls in the chocolate brownie batter.
- Bake the brownies for 15 to 20 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center when checking for doneness).
- Remove from oven. Set aside to cool.
- Cut into 12 brownies. Serve warm or chilled.
