Ingredients for strawberry mango smoothie
Equipment
For this and all my smoothie recipes, I usually use the smoothie attachment of my Ninja kitchen system but any blender would work great here.
How to make this strawberry and mango smoothie
Prep
Since I started with fresh strawberries, I washed them thoroughly, removed any bad spots and the green tops. I added them to a freezer safe bag and popped them in the freezer for a couple hours.
If you are using fresh mango, you can wash and peel the mango. Cube the flesh and add it to the same freezer safe bag or a container. I used store-bought frozen mango here so I skipped this step.
Here’s a look at my frozen ingredients along with the cold milk.

Blend
Add the frozen strawberries, mango and milk to the blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately for an icy cold, refreshing summer drink.
When recipe testing, I started with adding a quarter cup of milk at a time but the ingredients didn’t blend well until I got to 3/4 cup of milk. Everything became smooth, creamy and beautiful!
Of course, you can adjust the sweetness level if you like and add in a little sweetener but my smoothie really didn’t need any. The raw strawberries and mango were perfect!

Variations
If you want to mix things up, this smoothie is flexible:
- Strawberry mango smoothie with yogurt: swap the milk for 3/4 cup Greek yogurt for an extra creamy, extra filling, protein loaded smoothie.
- Strawberry mango protein smoothie: mix a small scoop of vanilla protein powder with a little extra milk.
Do I need fresh or frozen fruit?
Frozen works best. Frozen strawberries and frozen mango give you that thick, milkshake-like texture without having to add much ice.
Can I turn it into a strawberry mango smoothie bowl?
Yes by using about 1/2 cup of milk instead of 3/4, so the texture is thick enough to eat with a spoon. Top with granola, chia seeds and fresh fruit.
