Ingredients for this chocolate banana smoothie
Equipment
For this recipe, I used the smoothie cup attachment of my Ninja kitchen system. It does such a good job blending everything together. And, you can use the larger blender attachment if you want to scale up the recipe. Of course, a regular blender like this one will also work well here.
How to make this healthy chocolate banana smoothie
Prep
It’s best to peel and freeze the bananas beforehand to make a cold, refreshing smoothie that can be enjoyed immediately. That’s what I did for this recipe.
Here’s a look at all the ingredients including the frozen bananas.

Blend
All that’s left to do is add everything to your blender or smoothie cup and blend until smooth.

That’s pretty much it for this homemade smoothie drink recipe. So simple and easy!
Serve immediately with banana slices on top and a dusting of cocoa powder. Or add some granola as a topping. If you are not having the drink immediately, refrigerate it. It should last 2 to 3 days in the fridge.
