Refreshing Watermelon Juice Recipe
It’s sweet melon season, so it’s time to make my watermelon juice recipe. It’s the perfect refreshing drink when the weather is hot out and you’re feeling for a light, sweet treat.
It really is the ideal 2-ingredient summer drink that takes about 10 minutes to make and is packed with goodness. You can find over 50% of the Vitamin A levels you need in a day along with 30% Vitamin C levels. Plus it has low levels of Vitamin B5 and B6, magnesium, and copper.
Oh and if you have extra melon, be sure to try my yummy watermelon feta mint salad too.

Watermelon juice ingredients
Equipment
A blender and strainer are what I used for making this delightful juice but you can use a juicer too.
How to make watermelon juice
Prep
If you are using a whole melon, give it a quick wash before cutting into it. As I mentioned, I bought a watermelon wedge in the market. It weighed about 3 pounds (lbs) with the rind on and when I cut the rind off, the flesh weighed about 2 pounds (lbs).
I got about 780 milliliters (mL) of juice. Hope that helps if you plan on scaling up or scaling down the recipe.
Next, I washed and cut into the lime before squeezing to obtain its fresh juice.

Blend
Add the watermelon flesh to the blender and blend until smooth. Mix in the lime juice.
I started mixing in a tablespoon of lime juice at a time and I found about 3.5 tablespoons (juice of 2 limes) hit the perfect balance of sweet and sour. It was incredibly pleasant.
Strain the juice with a strainer or cheesecloth. I double strained here but there were still specks of the white seeds.
Serve immediately over ice as delightful summer drinks. Or leave in the fridge to chill. It can last 1 to 2 days in the fridge.
